SOG Math Club Schedule
Every Monday that ERA is in session (see exact dates below), 3:05-4:15pm
3:05-3:20: Attendance, Snack, Problem on the board to solve with friends or individually
3:20-3:30: Discuss the problem on the board
3:30-3:45: Teach another math strategy (or begin test on Test day)
3:45-4:10: Work on practice tests with help from friends and coaches as needed (complete test)
4:10-4:15: Clean up the room, get ready to go
4:15-4:25: Parent/Guardian sign-out in each room
Jan. 9 – Introduction to the program, send practice tests home with students
Jan. 30 – Test day
Feb. 6 – Results of first test, strategies reviewed/introduced, send practice tests home
Feb. 13 – Test day
Feb. 27 – Results of second test and strategies reviewed/introduced
March 6 – Math Games! Send practice tests home with students or let them work on them during the session so that they can ask questions of teachers or students
March 13 – Test day
March 20 – Results of third test and strategies reviewed/introduced
April 3 – Math Games! New strategies to help with test 4
April 17 – Work on practice tests so that they can ask questions of teachers or other students
April 24 – Test day
Awards Ceremony (TBD, but most likely Mon. May 22, 3:00-4:15) – students receive certificates, top score earners receive medals, and if our school has a team that qualifies we will present the plaque.
